# Tell us what the pool is doing

The fastest way to start is a phone call. You will speak to Clayton, the
person who will be doing the work, not a scheduler.

What happens next

## Four steps, in this order, for a reason

01
### You call and describe what the pool is doing
Not what you think is wrong with it. "It loses water", "the coping sounds hollow", "the heater fires sometimes" are all more useful than a guess at the cause, because the symptom is what narrows it down.

02
### We come and look at it
A pool cannot be quoted from a description, and anyone who does is quoting a range they will revise later. Leaks in particular show themselves best while the pool is still full, so do not drain it before we arrive.

03
### You get the finding before the quote
On a leak that means a written finding from a pressure test and a dye test before anything is dug. On a remodel it means what the shell, bond beam and base actually need, which is what decides the scope.

04
### Then a quote for the real scope
Priced against what was found, not a package. If part of it can wait a season without getting worse, we will tell you that too.

- What does the consultation cost? The consultation is free. That is the same offer the previous site made and it has not changed.
- Should I drain the pool before you come? No. Please do not. A leak shows itself best while the pool is still full, and a drained pool in Naples can float on a high water table. Leave it as it is and we will tell you what needs doing.
- What should I have ready? Roughly when you noticed the problem, how much water you are losing in a day if it is a leak, and any equipment brands on the pad if you can read them. None of it is required. It just makes the visit quicker.
- Can you quote over the phone? For a scope, no. Two pools the same size can be completely different jobs depending on what the shell, the bond beam and the base underneath the deck need. We can tell you on the phone whether it sounds like a repair or a remodel, which is usually the question behind the question.
- I am out of state and the house is empty. Can this still happen? Yes, and a lot of work here runs that way. Park Shore and Pelican Bay sit empty for much of the year. We can assess, send the finding through and deal with you on decisions remotely. It is also the right moment to consider [automation](https://www.splashpoolsllc.com/pool-automation-installation-naples/), so you can check heat, lights and pump schedules from up north.
- How far do you travel? Naples and Collier County, plus Marco Island, Bonita Springs and Estero. That covers 22 named neighborhoods across the waterfront, the gated communities and inland.
